Widgets
The controls real apps are built from, and the ones that trip up automation: none of them is a plain form field, so the usual shortcuts like Selenium's Select don't work.
Nothing selected yet
A button and a list, not a <select>: open it, then click the option by its text.
0 selected
The menu stays open while you pick. Each chip's × removes it.
No date chosen
Typing is blocked: open the calendar, move to the month, then click the day. Past days are disabled. Each day has data-date="YYYY-MM-DD".
Volume: 50
Goes 0–100 in steps of 5. Selenium can't type a number into it; Playwright's fill() can.
Account active
An in-page dialog, not a browser alert: no switching needed, but the page behind it can't be clicked while it's open. Escape closes it.
The toast appears after about a second and disappears after 4. Wait for it, then read it before it goes.
Put the steps in order: write, run, read, fix.
- Run the test
- Fix the bug
- Write the test
- Read the report
Not in order yet
Drag an item onto another to move it there (mouse events, so Selenium's dragAndDrop works too), or use the arrow buttons.
